This three hour workshop is practical and involves observing and practicing the key skills of an effective appraisal reviewer. It is particularly suitable for staff who are new to the role of appraisal reviewer. As with the ‘Being an Appraisal Reviewer’ workshop it is possible to combine teaching and associate staff in the workshop. By the end of the workshop staff will be able to:

  • Understand how to use different questioning techniques
  • Consider different levels of listening for maximum impact
  • Practice giving developmental feedback
  • Consider the different dynamics that are at play within a review meeting and how to deal with them.

The workshop involves group activities; trainer input; coaching activities and individual reflection.
